From May 1st to 3rd, the city of Oyonnax hosted the 2026 French Individual Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Championships. Étoile de Monaco was represented by 10 gymnasts who once again proudly flew the club’s colors.
Among the highlights of the weekend, Younes Chahmi became French Champion in the National A 13-year-old category, while Aaron Brancato secured the Vice-French Champion title in the National A 16-year-old category. In the senior division, Lilian Piotte distinguished himself with a bronze medal in the high bar final, along with an 11th place finish in the all-around competition and a 5th place in the pommel horse final.
The other Monégasque gymnasts also delivered strong national performances, sometimes coming remarkably close to the podium. In National A 11-year-olds, Gabin Sozzani placed 45th while Jonas Chapelle finished 50th. In the 12-year-old category, Timothée Vinci set a personal best and took 40th place nationally. Dimitri Malgras Houot achieved a solid 11th place in National A 15-year-olds. In National A 16-year-olds, Raphaël Malgras Houot earned an excellent 5th national rank, while Bastien Briano took 6th place in National A 17-year-olds. Kevin Crovetto also reached the high bar final, placing 7th in the 22+ category.
These results reward the hard work put in throughout the season by the gymnasts and their coaches, Sébastien, Kevin, and Rémi, and confirm Étoile de Monaco’s strong momentum on the national stage.
